The Rigihof Hotel is a well known building that was
designed and constructed in 1931. It reflects the Bauhaus style which was considered the
beginning of modern architecture bark then. The structure is
an eye catcher with its strong, clear, precise lines with
deliberate feel.
This is the mood the hotel presents: strong, clear and
precise, down to the smallest details.
The hotel’s restaurant reflects these qualities in the perfect way it
serves and prepares its innovative cuisine. Even the menus
are precise and articulate, pleasing to the eye.
The bright vivid guest rooms are unique and individual.
The
hotel has dedicated its 67 rooms – all no smoking - to tell
the story of 67 different important personalities and their
contribution to the city of Zurich over the years. There is
a life size portrait of each with a multilingual description
of their contribution to mankind. It is truly a walk through
history and an enlightenment of what truly extraordinary
people thy were. Each room has truly a story to tell. |
